La Luna is it for me. What a llama should look like. I purchased her dam in 1997 from some friends of ours in the llama 4-H program and her dam at that time was what I wanted all my llamas to look like. As much as I love her dam, La Luna is even better! She is a great-granddaughter to "Martha My Dear", Jacob's first breeding female that he purchase in 1993 as a part of his 4-H project. Luna is 4th generation Mumford breeding. We are retaining one of her daughters "Queen". She is also the mother to 2 sleek and stretchy males.
Luna's sire is "El Forte", probably the favorite breeding stud we have ever owned.

Queen is from 5 generations of Mumford breeding. Her mom La Luna and Grandma Ilchie are 2 of our favorites. She is as stretchy and elegant as her mom, this pair are both just stunning! Queen was Luna's first baby and queen was a little bit of a shrimp her first few weeks, with ears that flopped down like a lopped ear rabbit. At a certain point she took off and starting growing like a bad weed.
Queen's dad is the HUGE and athletic North American male "Abilene", who has now passed away. Abilene was a full North American London son.

In 2008 we were looking for an extra special animal to put into the 2nd Cascade Llama Sale, and Ashanti was who we selected. She was purchased by Cheryl and Andy Tillman, and later was sold to Jerry and Pat Thomas. When we found her on the sale section of the Thomas's website with her 2010 Suri daughter we could not hold back! In addition to RML Chilena Asiaga who we have consigned to the 2011 Cascade Llama Sale, she has had 2 other daughters. One is tan and white silky who is owned by Jacob and Meggan's old Sheep 4-H leader, and other "Arriza" is a white suri/silky owned by Donna Clark in Eastern Washington. Arriza is a multi-time ILR-SD award winner, including First and reserve Champion in the silky fleece composite class at the 2010 Jingle Bells show.
Ashanti's Sire is a Macho Macho son from the famous Llama Woods breeding program. Ashanti's dam is a SPECIAL and sweet llama from the Hinterland program.
Ashanti is bred for a spring 2012 baby to our Greaseball son RGA Fastball!

Gentile personalities seem to run in this dam line, Antonia and Ashanti are both to of the most gentile laid back llamas we have ever owned. Antonia has won numerous awards showing 4-H at the county and state level. She has the sweetest personality and always aims to please. Her pedigree includes greats such as London, The Canadian, and McKinnon!
