Shearing Service:

For several years Jacob has offered a popular Alpaca and Llama Shearing service. Typically our coverage area spans from Seattle, Washington to the North down to Eugene, Oregon to the South, as far east as Stevenson, Washington and West to the Oregon and Washington Coast. If you live outside our coverage area we can sometimes still assist you if you and your neighbors have enough llamas and alpacas to make a trip of a further distance worthwhile. Jacob has traveled as far away as suburbs of Dallas, Texas and central Louisiana to shear llamas! Our shearing year generally runs from April till September, however several prime weeks in 2008 will be blocked out due to our involvement with the Cascade Llama Sale. Business Plans and consulting:

Jacob is available to offer consulting based on our family's years on camelid experience. This can be one-on-one at your ranch anywhere in the USA or by phone or E-mail. Included in your consultation we can help you build a customized business plan for your llama or alpaca business.

Talks and seminars:

Jacob is available to give talks and seminars on a variety of topics including Shearing, Marketing, and general llama care. In 2008 we will host our first Llama/Alpaca Shearing school - please E-mail for information Evergreenllamas@aol.com. Once we host one shearing school we are open to taking this program on the road.

Sales:

For years Jacob has helped people selling their llamas and alpacas by connecting buyers and sellers, often times using the internet. In 2007 he created the Cascade Llama and Alpaca sale to help more camelid breeders and also provide a Northwest outlet for people looking to buy and sell quality llamas and alpacas. We have one successful sale behind us and are working hard on the 2nd which will be May 3rd and 4th in Stevenson, Washington in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge.
