At Evergreen Llamas we take the selection of our foundation males seriously! We ask the right questions, buy from top breeders and use only proven lines. It is of utmost importance that our stud males be out of heavy milking dams. We are very proud of our group of breeding males. When we purchased Slick we did not know he was going to draw the attention that he has! This big stretchy suri guy turns heads wherever he goes... Folks love his black and white paint coloring, as well as his cool slick high luster fiber! He is one of only a few breeding suri males in the USA that is kured with the Suri Llama Association with a 1st premium status or higher! He is also a ALSA Grand Champion and the2007 Western Regional reserve champion! Slick's sire is Peruvian Doc Holiday who is a full brother to Peruvian Doc Martin - this is the best of the best of the Kantu line and we are so proud to carry on these lines in our herd. On the dam side he comes from the French Lieutenant bloodline which is know for great ears and micron counts consistently in the teens! Great moms and milkers on down the line as well, a big requirement for us in a sire... His first get is a female born in Mississippi, born at his old owner's new ranch. The rest of his get will start arriving in early 08. We are excited!

Zodiac always reminds us how much FUN llamas are! We walk out to the pasture and no matter what our moods were when we came out, Zodiac will have us grinin from ear to ear when we leave! Such a cute and fun llama with the BEST fiber we have felt Bar none - llama or alpaca! Very fine with a cool handle and luster like you would not believe! His sire was one of the 6-figure animals of the FFF Dispersal sale, and is now owned by the 6-Pack ranch in Canada. His dam was also recently sold to 6-Pack so get these genes in the USA where and when you can! He is breeding now and we are SO EXCITED for his get coming in 2008! Full Chilean, total outcross!

What do you get when you cross a Grand Companion super suri to a nearly 7 foot tall Patterson dam? You get Timbaland of course! Timba is over half North American carrying a legacy that is second to none including Fortunato, The Gentleman, Eclipse PL, Huckleberry Finn, and Hanna's Banana Nut Bread... His Peruvian side of the family includes his maternal grandma Laquita who is a Peruvian import and outrageous producer and of course we cannot forget his great granddaddy *Kantu! His grandfather Chock Full of Nuts was the 2004 National Grand Champion suri male and is a very rare line out in the west! With his current size as well as his heavy North American influence this guy should be BIG and stretchy. His fiber is unbelievable and almost always looks wet!

For years we have been trying to breed for a few North American animals to counter the South American and hurrizo lines that are so common in the llama gene pool. Dashing sums up what we love about the North American lines: Tall and stretchy, stately and regal! This kind of presence is hard to breed for - either you got it or you don't! Dashing and his kids got it! GREAT Patterson bloodlines on both sides... His sire the Gentleman is the most regal llama I have ever seen - he stands in the field like a giant statue!  Its going to be fun crossing Dashing onto some suri girls down the road and also crossing his kids with Slick and Zodiac. You should see the AWESOME suri we just had out of his full sister Dear Me who is also on our keeper list!

This is one of three traditional males we are not selling. He is a full Chilean from Hinterland. He is tall and correct and has silky white fiber. If you would have tried to buy him a couple years ago I may have sold him for the right price, but now he is here to stay! As they say "the proof is in the pudding" and this guy hits it out of the park time after time! His sire was Kay's exotic *SilverSpirit (now deceased) and his dam was one of Kay's best from her New Zealand/Chilean collection. He is also as gentile as a kitten and very easy to work with. This is another trait we see in passed to his get. He also tends to improve on the size and fiber while the dam determines the coloring - we love to breed him to appys!
